Weekend Report

I'm Rockinsticks and this is Weekend Report.  In our top story classes were revealed this week leading to an outstanding amount of plotting on the chatter sofas in the common room.  If you missed the plotting sessions please enjoy these recommendations for homework appropriate free patterns....

DADA - Nothing quite says Japan like a Ninja Cat.

Muggle Studies - One of my favorite paintings is St. Sebastian with the single arrow through the neck by Perugino Pietro  maybe this Little Arrowhead Shawl would work nicely?

Charms -Remember before chats and e-mail when we would write actual letters to people?  Perhaps this little pen case could represent a connection between people that has become somewhat antiquated?

Astronomy - A lumpy bumpy lego wallet anyone?

Care of Magical Creatures - If you've had a child you know that you spend a crazy amount of time the first day looking at those tiny hands.  Why not whip up some baby mittens to protect those treasured little paws?
History of Magic - Lime green bowler hatJust think of the looks on the muggles in your town when you step onto the bus wearing this piece.

Ancient Runes - Secret societies and secret messages?  How about the ever popular dark mark illusion scarf

Potions - Mixing color....you know you want to....
In Weather:  A fast moving front of quivit clouds will be moving through the valley this weekend bringing scattered showers of singleply.

In Sports the Quidditch season is underway.  Only six more days until the start of our first opportunity to divot up the pitch with thundering quaffles.  So get poised for the release of the snitch pattern on May 13th.  Be it hotties, martinis, ninja cats or killer bunnies - in Slytherin, everyone's a chaser.

Forgivable Curse of the Week:  Sweet Merlin's knotted skein and bulky balls!

And finally from the Sub-Human Interest Desk - my bookshelf.  This time of month, classes starting not that other thing you giggling gryphon gomers, always has me perusing the patterns online and in my personal library.  As I unpacked books this week I realized with mock shame that I have more knitting books than the LYS.  Maybe its time for another giveaway.  Stay tuned.

That is all for this week.  This is Rockinsticks signing off.  Slyther to victory my scaly pals.
